The CDO Pickleball Story
The pickleball scene in CDO began in early 2025 when a small group of enthusiasts started playing on converted badminton courts at the Ateneo de Manila University's CDO campus and at the Pueblo de Oro Sports Complex. Word spread quickly, and within months, the community had grown to over 500 regular players.
Recognizing the demand, the Cagayan de Oro City Government partnered with the PPF and private developers to accelerate court construction. The result: 12 new public courts opened at the CDO Sports Complex in March 2026, followed by additional facilities at Divisoria Park, Macasandig, and Upper Balulang.
